SCIENCE REPORT - CHERNOBYL

The above photograph is of what we call a Ferris wheel. It's just like any Ferris wheel that you will find in an amusement park except for one thing. Look closer. Look at the ground around the Ferris wheel and the trees in the background. What do you see?

Now, don't worry so much about what you see. Think more about what you don't see. Where are all the people? Why are there no other rides in sight? Why are there no happy children and no cotton candy stalls?

Here's why: Something terrible happened near a town called Pripyat, Ukraine which is located near a nuclear reactor site called Chernobyl. An accident happened 34 years ago, on the 26th of April, 1986. You must investigate to find out what the accident was all about but before doing so, you need to watch this video:
