Week 13 Update

5th Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

Thank you to all of the parents who attended our Parent-Teacher conferences. I hope that our meetings were as useful for you as they were for me and that we can use what we have discussed to ensure progress for all of the students in the remaining three quarters of the year.

With these meetings completed, we can now look forward to Thanksgiving lunch, Fun Day and our Christmas Concert. We also have our field trip next week where we will learn more about how waste produced on the island is managed.

What we learned this week

Math: Topic 6 - Test/Topic 7: Multiplying and Dividing Decimals

Literacy: Interpretive Essays – Defending Big Ideas/English Unit 3 Verbs/Novel: The Tiger Rising

Science: Chapter 2 – Forces and Motion
