Weather Vane Teams

This is your first STEM project and your first opportunity to solve a problem while working in a team.

Your Mission: Use materials that you have brought to school to assemble the best possible weather vane. Your weather vane should be stable and capable of showing which direction the wind is blowing from.

You may not assemble any of it at home. You will have one hour on Friday afternoon to assemble it, test it, and answer some questions in your Science book. You may discuss the possible items that can be brought from home with your team mates. If your design doesn't work after the first attempt and if there is time, you may try other methods and materials to get it to work.
