One of my favourite scenese from one of my favourite movies. There is a small problem with FACTS. The scene in the movie is set in 1955 but Chuck Berry only released the song in 1957. I recently watched a Chuck Berry documentary in which his grandson speaks about this scene and says, "I'm still looking for Marvin Berry." The character who makes the phone call claims to be Marvin Berry, who is supposed to be Chuck Berry's cousin, but he is just a character in the movie.



One of the most important acts of resistance in the history of racism. Rosa Parks knew what she was doing and her decision to sit where she did on that day was planned and organized. She had to be very brave to do what she did, and in doing so, changed the way young black people could enjoy more freedom in the USA. There are still problems and racism still exists. Check out Ms. Parks' words in our Quote of the Week this week. You will also read about her in the Achieve article about American history in Germany. To save her house, it was moved all the way to Germany.
